As a kid, what did you look forward to most about summer vacation/break/holiday?
The annual two months visit to my grandparents small farm. I just loved spending my summer holidays there. Too bad those glory days are over....

Looked forward to sleeping in late, having breakfast cereal for lunch, long lazy afternoons by the pool with my friends and most of all going barefoot in the grass.
Oh, and no school uniforms. Hated those uniforms!!!!
Since I worked in the summers from age 11 on, I am not sure that I looked forward to the vacation. Instead I spent the time picking strawberries, detassling corn and working on hay crews. (if your feet reach the peddles, you are old enough to drive the haywagon).
Now, 45 years later, I still want a vacation when my teenagers are off!
